PURPOSE & SCOPE:

Quantum Leap Innovations, Inc  is a provider of advanced technologies addressing challenges that are characterized as being complex and dynamic.  Our work is based on distributed computing, intelligent agents, and automated knowledge discovery technologies.  The company has been working since 1999 in both the public and private sector, with the public sector work including continuous contracts with the Department of Defense (DOD) for over seven years. QLI is seeking a Senior Sales Executive - Government who has a successful track record of the consultative selling of technology solutions into government and military organizations.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

The primary responsibilities for this role include (but are not limited to):

  • Articulate our technical solutions to customers in the Federal Government.
  • Work with the Leadership team and/or independently to pursue new account opportunities for sales of QLI’s technical solutions.
  • Establishing and growing business relationships with key decision makers, government and military leaders. Identifying and developing strong relationships, and appropriately utilizing advocates.
  • Prospecting, value proposition definition / qualification, demonstrations, pilot process management, business case development, negotiation, closing.
  • Executive presence with CXO-level, program office, and/or senior Command positions.
  • Working at the program level within the federal government (e.g. DOD, DHS, HHS etc.) to influence product specifications and technology development.
  • Responsible for identifying and tracking Federal program funding opportunities.
  • Identify & win government funded R&D contracts.
  • Work with key Government contractors as required to meet revenue targets.
  • Manage opportunities through the sales cycle from initial inquiry to forecasted pipeline to deal design and close.
  • Provide continuous updates on all active accounts within the company CRM system and report on sales activities, status and progress on a regular basis.
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and reference-ability.
  • Travel and a significant level of activity is required to achieve quota.

 QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • MUST be a seasoned software and technical solutions sales executive with a minimum of 7 plus years successful business development and/or sales experience in this space and a comprehensive understanding of conducting business with the federal government
  • We are looking for a candidate who has sold high value solutions by leveraging existing relationships and business experience into targeted markets
  • We prefer experience selling technology based solutions as well as understanding how funded modifications could lead to large market developmentDocumented performance beating annual sales performance carrying a $1.5M quota or greaterProven ability to generate and close multiple transactions in the $250K-plus range. We would like to see a five year record of consistently beating your quotas.
  • Proven self starter, with a background in Government sales
  • A documented track record of success with referenceable Government customers
  • Track record of senior executive relationship development
  • Extensive relationships with, and rolodex of, prospective customers in the federal government
  • Bachelors degree required
  • Security Clearance strongly preferred
  • Metro Washington DC based candidate strongly preferred

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, financial and organizational capabilities
  • Exemplary communication, including written, telephone and presentation
  • Aggressive with optimistic attitude and high energy level

  • We offer a highly competitive compensation package that includes base salary and an uncapped incentive plan.
